We can not alter date formats or date\time when the field comes from an API call. Allowing us to format the date or date\time in the email deliverable will allow us to change the date to suit our needs, i.e. changing a date\time field to a date field or changing it from dd\mm\yyy to the more common mm\dd\yyyy or allow European clients to change the field to their preference.
